Teams may have up to five members.
At least one
member must have graduate-level business school experience
or five years of entrepreneurial experience.
Teams are free
to enter other business plan contests.
The contest is
for new, for-profit ventures in the seed, start-up, or
early stage, not for established businesses.
Spin-outs
from existing businesses are eligible, unless they are
at a mature stage (to be defined).
Team members must have
a significant (>10%) equity
stake in the venture to ensure team members are not
just acting as
consultants.
The presentation must be the original
work of the team.
The venture may not have received any institutional funding
of more than $500,000 prior to the preliminary round.
